I have seen a bunch of toads that got whacked on high 90 - low 100 degree days in the units down South at 3000-3500 feet of elevation where it really is hot in October. I have a hard time beleiving killing a deer on Aztec peak or Dutchwoman Butte in October is going to be any hotter than killing one in the Las Guijas, Baboquivaris or Cerro Colorado's down South. I personally think that with some scouting and knowledge of the unit, it may be a nice tag to have. Big coues deer can be killed out of the rut, it just takes alot more scouting or luck or both. I am not especially for these Early hunts in the middle units, I am a pro late tag guy, but these hunts are not going to be impossible if the units down South are any indicator.
