83 year old Dad drew Ft. Carson-CO.

My 83 year old dad drew his Ft. Carson first season deer 0ct 10-25. I spend a lot on time overseas and this is going to be maybe the last time I will be able help him get we nice deer and spend some time together for a while. Dad is fairly fit for his age but with two knee replacements mostly the hunting would be restricted to spotting from the truck and a few hundred yards to get in position or waiting at a good spot. Dad would be thrilled with a 170 plus buck. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Get him out there jogging a little Ted, nothing worse than an 83 yr old slacker!! Congrats on the tag though at least you'll have some time hanging with your dad, mine is officially done with non res stuff time to take up squirrel hunting (his words not mine).

First we need to get you jogging slacker. Getting some good info here and Bowsite. Sounds like there are some really good bucks but a few complications on your coming and goings at the base. Dad is excited..
