LAST EDITED ON Oct-21-13 AT 01:33PM (MST)[p]Just had the opportunity to take my father out for what may very well be his last hunt. He has cherished the outdoors all his life, and it has been what has kept him going for many years. His health has been waning, and there are signs of dementia showing up, but I had a goal to make this hunt successful and rewarding. He has been my hero, and has taught me what it means to be a hunter. Has always been there to share the experience. Most people look at this as being held back, but what they don't understand is how it holds me UP! On the first morning of Utah's hunt I was able to get him within 150 yards of a 2-point buck, which he took with one shot from his trusty old Springfield 30-06. It was a rewarding day, and truly a trophy experience for me! A proud Son!
