A score on this bull?

I came accross this bull over Christmas break... Proof that monsters still live on public land in the great Northwest. Unfortunately its extremely difficult to draw a tag in this area... Anyway, can someone with some scoring experience give a score on this bull. He is an 8X9 including a cheater on the left that is around 5".

off hand i'd say this bull lands between 380 and 390, however with that said there are a couple of measurements that are very hard to see. The 1st's and 2nd's look good but its pretty much guess work. the beams are tough to get a read on but i bet they go abou 52-54 inches. Looks like he has good mass so probably 60 or so inches. Width should be bout 43-45 inside. the 1st's look like they may be flirtin with the 20 inch mark and the thirds should be about 15 or so. If he is anywhere near those numbers he will come out to be a 380+ bull.

Mine came out just a bit bigger than berrys - pushing 400". Hard to tell from those pics. Now if outside spread counted for anything... WOW!

I would guess a fairly conservative score on this bull would be between 385 and 395 but I would not be surprised if he gross scored over 400.

Very impressive bull with the extras, but I don't see him having the tine length to be as high as the previous guesses. I'd put him somewhere in the 370's. Definintely a shooter almost anywhere.

Just a WAG on my part. I think his points are too short to reach 380, but the extras will put him close? 370-380?

+1 ktc & fullcurl.
Points are too short, but beam length and extra points might push him to 380......if he's lucky.

370ish, I dont see the tine length either, nor the mass to put this bull in the upper area's. should be a great bull this next year though.

I say G1 18, G2 13, G3 15, G4 14, G5 11, G6 5, extra outrigger 8, mass 29 beam 55 = 168 on smaller side. Larger side appears to be about 8 inches larger so say 176 larger side = 344 with 45 inch inside spread 389 gross. The G1's are probably over 18 and the inside spread could be closer to 47 or 48 which could add 7 or 8 inches and put him around 395.

It is hard enough to score a bull on the hoof or from good pics. These pics are from far away and really don't show the tines. Any attempt at scoring this bull is as KTC puts it - a WAG. That being said - I'll say anywhere from 320 to 390 and I wouldn't be surprised either way, though I would lean towards the higer end of that broad spectrum.

Is it just me, or is there not one tine on that bull that would exceed 12" besides his G1's and maybe one G4?

Actually,
After reading Huntingfoo's post about Arizona application's,I think I could bet one of his nut's that the bull would be between 300 and 410.The reason being is that his have to be huge and he could afford to loose one.I am sorry I just could not resist the temptation

That bull is a monster regardless of score but I'd bet from the one closer shot that he would pull a gross score in the low to mid 380s, especially given the extras.

good lookin bull I would guess him about 370 from the pictures. Rez why doesn't that surprise me that he isn't big enough for you. I guess nothing is for you!

lmao...I'm not big on elk. But I do hunt with friends for elk. Archery Elk is by far the best...elk during the rut is pretty damn sweet. But in order for me to kill a bull it would need to be a giant...400"+ and if its not, I just look and mess with them (bugle and cow call) Too much work for a animal that is sub par. The meat is all that really matters...and when looking for elk meat take out the young calfs...best tasting by far.

Width isnt everything, its the ONLY thing.

so in line 7 with extras let me brake it down.
-48 49 wike
-51 in. breams
-tines range 15 to 18 long
-5 mass measurements 80 inches
-25 30 inches in extra points
i have to say 405 to 410

Are you serious 80 inches of mass.....I have NEVER seen or heard of 80 in mass....at best 60-65

I think he thinks that if it is an inline 7 pt that you pick up an extra mass measurement based on the fact that he says 5 mass measurements. Its the only way anyone could guess that much mass.
