Accuracy of Weather Websites

I've been tracking the amount of rain in Hobbs (SE NM) for the past month and according to weather.com, they received 2.46 inches of rain in June. Two other websites show around 0.3 inches of rain for June. I know that weather.com sucks, but that's a big difference. Anyone know which is closer to reality for SE NM?

2.46" seems a bit high, but who knows which station weather.com is using. Here's what I use:

http://weather.nmsu.edu/ws/

You can choose individual stations and download the precip data for any time period (if they have it). From that site:

Ochoa 0.8" rain in June
Tatum 0.8" rain in June
Hobss 0.3" rain in June
Nadine 1.2" rain in June

Rain in NM can be what we call fenceline rain...one side will be wet and green, otherside bone dry...that's just NM.

+1 what Hank said.

It can be lush in one spot and a mile away it is dry as a bone.

Roswell is really greened up. I would guess they 4-5" already.
