I have been really hesitant on posting these pictures or not.
I hunted hard on Fishlake for a bigger bull, and found some. I just could not hit the DAMN things. I missed 3 times with my muzzy. After the third miss, about 4 minutes after (I was still throwing gloves and hats and having a breakdown) this bull came out of the trees and started screaming. I cow called once and he came running into 40 yards and I shot him purely out of spite and hate!!! Actually, it was a VERY fun hunt. This bull ended up being the same bull I had passed on at 35 yards the night before and I have some great video footage of him screaming at 35 yards for about 5 minutes. I did not know it was the same bull when I had shot him until I walked up to it. I had missed a 350 bull minutes before and I really wanted all my family to be there when I killed it. My brother and brother in law were going to have to leave the next day so, the deed was done. It was awesome to have them there and was worth 50 inches to me! I had a great hunt. I learned a lot and I made some mistakes (like letting a 380 bull wind me first thing opening morning and get to 300 yards before I could stop him, no shot)and shooting while still pumped up from calling!
It was a GREAT hunt with over 20 bulls called in to less than 75 yards. It was not the bull I had hoped for in the start but I feel really good about it and had a really fun hunt.
