I have 18 resident LE elk points. I want to burn them this year on a muzzleloader hunt. Which unit gives the best chance at the best bull possible with those points?

DIY, no horses, no posse, most likely be by myself, can scout all summer and that sort of thing.

You can draw any unit in the state Except the Beaver,Boulder,Monroe or San-Jaun.So pick a unit and go hunting

Pahvant? The way I read the odds,
Pahvant was a 1 in 4 or 5 chance?

Hmmm Dutton interesting.

SJ But you might have enough points

He's 7+ years from being in the top bonus point pool for the SJ muzzy tag.

If it were me, I'd wait 2 years and hunt the Pahvant.

my plan was to wait until I could draw one of the top 4 or 5 units but seriously thinking of moving out of state. Don't want to take steps backwards and be put in the NR pool, that's why I want a tag this year.

I have 20 points and I'm still 2 years away from a SJ muzzie and that's if nothing changes. When they changed the rule and you could put any scope on your muzzie. The point creep on muzzie just keeps going up. It's almost the same as the rifle on a lot units

book cliffs. hands down. you are welcome. do not listen to people who don not understand how the draw works.
