Lots of spped goats. Kind of low for the deer, but the hills are not far away. Have hunted antelope 20 minutes out of Farson for years when we draw and have always had good luck. One of the best units for antelope is the red desert unit starting right at Frason and going east.

The antelope tag will be a lot harder to draw then the Mule Deer tag. Lots of antelope and endless miles of sagebrush hills and flats to look for them. Awesome area though if you can pull a tag for antelope.

You should be aware that antelope numbers are down in that unit from what they were a few years ago. I hunted it in 2009 and noticed fewer goats and more hunters than ever before. Learned later that the number of permits had been increased that year by Game and fish. I have a friend that is a biologist with G&F and asked why permits were up when the herd was down. They have since conducted surveys which confirmed my observations and permits were subsequently reduced in 2010.
I like hunting this area due to the scenery but only got a doe permit in 2010. Seemed like even fewer antelope were available this year. Hopefully the herd will rebound soon
