I have been scouting since August in 100 . I'm seeing a lot less than I had in 2011-2012. I've been trying to stay away from steamboat and the popular areas. Ive been near farson and eden south from that area to i80 . Trying not to mention to many names.
I'm usually hunting in oct 15. Just curious if I'm just too early and they will be here. I haven't been here on archery hunt in sept
I have seen a few bulls in 300-315 class. But a lot less than five years ago.
Thought I could find some in archery season.
And had 2 flat tires, one broke spring. 9 empty gas tanks. In a Tacoma And a really sore ass from driving.. yes I'm discouraged! Should I just wait til rifle hunt? I have walked several miles. Keep finding a way I could drive too. So I got a new set of tires.
And have just been driving and glassing. What else can I do? Should I go to new spot.? I'm by pilot.
Or keep searching by where I'm at?
