Any tips on repairing, coloring and mounting sheds?

I have several shed sets (deer and elk) that I am looking to mount. Does anyone have any tips on how to color them? They are 1 year old, a little hairline cracking on one side and some brown on the other. I also have 2 sets that need just a little tine repair. I have tines to replace what is broken but I'm not sure how to connect the new tines to the sheds or how to patch the seams between the two. Also, does anyone have a recommendation on what skull plate or mounting kit would work best?
