Anyone ever hunt Prince of Wales Island for spring Black Bear?

I am interested in doing a DIY spring bear hunt in 2007. I am an archer and only wish to hunt with archery equipment. How did your hunt go? What advice could you give me? I would like to ask you many questions and hear what you have to say.

Did P.O.W May '04 and can't stop thinking about it. I left Southern Utah at 7am and killed my bear a 10pm, the same day. One shot with my 300wsm and my hunt was over. (eight day trip) We thought bear hunting was a cake walk. Now it was my buddys turn to shoot his with a bow. We sat bait for three days and nothing. That sitting stuff is so boring to me. So then he took my rifle and went hunting doing the spot and stalk. He shot his at 10pm the last night. One of my favorite hunts of all time. I'm going back in '07 too. we stalked around a dozen bears and killed three. There were four of us. Get pumped for an awesome time.
