Anyone have a Traditions inline?

I purchased a pre-owned Traditions Lightning .50 cal SS bolt rifle with a fluted barrel and a muzzlebrake. I mounted a Leupold 3X9 Compact satin silver scope and am ready to sight the rig in.

Anyone have one of these rifles and can offer a loading that works well in their rifle? Would appreciate any insights you all may have.

Thanks,

I have a lighting bolt and my best load is 100 grains of pyrodex and a 240 or a 265 grain sabot any more powder than that and its not accurate.

Thanks for the reply. I'll stick with 100 grains in the Pyrodex pellets and will probably try 90-100 grains of loose Pyrodex Select.

I used to have one. It liked 250 grain shockwaves with 90 grains of 777. I would spit patch between shots. Grouped really well. I tried everything and that was the best. Hornady 240 grain XTPs were the next best.

good luck,
