anyone hunt 89 deer??

I was there for opening week this year. It was a tough hunt due to a large amount of snow. Full story is in this section under scouting area 89.
Feel free to PM me.

I was there for the second/last week of the season and the hunting was hard. Have hunted the area before and did well but ending up eating tag soup this year. Send me a PM and I would be glad to answer any questions I can.

Well what I am wondering about this region 89 is it any better than just a general region?? According to the draw odds I have just as good of a chance to draw area 89 as I do a general region but is the numbers or quality any better?? I would like to try to stay out of a general region as much as possible but were 89 is farther away from my home here in utah it would allow me alot less time to scout and become familiar with the unit?

What I have seen of 89 makes me think it would scout very big to find animals and might hunt pretty small and crowded when you get on them and gun season opens. Archery might be a better choice??? Can't substantiate any of that from personal experience just from driving through and a little walking in the unit.
