Archery and Muzzlerloader Season

Trying to remember when they set the long seasons for Archery and Muzzleloader in Colorado. Wasn't it back when we only had recurve and long bows and our muzzleloaders were the old Hawkins. When did Wayne Carlton introduce the elk calls - Wayne did invent the calls or am I mistaken - oh well a lot has changed since the early days of archery and Muzzleloader - but we still have the long seasons.

It would be nice if CPW would update the muzzy regulations to the 20 century and let hunters use sabots and scopes but they cave in to the archery hunters every time when they wine about the hunts should be primitive BS look at the bows that the archers are using today
