Archery mule deer

Not the biggest buck I saw but on the way back after another blown stalk I ran into this guy and he stood still at 40 yards too long.

Thanks guys. Yes that's my son, he loves to go and proudly passed his hunter safety course last weekend.

Ruby Mountains late archery, I'm guessing.

How cold was it? When I had that tag the temps in Elko were 0 at night and -3 in Ely. Figured it was 10 degrees colder where I was. And I was shooting fingers then, ouch!

And blown stalks were the norm.
