LAST EDITED ON May-27-16 AT 07:34AM (MST)[p]I was lucky enough to draw a Barbary Sheep tag for unit 30, I'll be in Carlsbad area for the next few days, starting Saturday. Just wondering if I should concentrate on this two areas since its closer to Brantley Lake where I'll be staying or disregard and this area and concentrate on the Alamogordo side.
Just looking for a starting point, no honey holes.
Thanks in advance

Maybe the OP is just referring to the west side of the Guads (the Brokeoffs, Cornucopia/Collins Hills)?

Yeah...you better take a look at your unit boundaries. Alamogordo is unit 34 and not close to your hunt areas. Stay in 30...big sheep there, just hard to find as are all sheep.

Also, use your ears as you'll hear them kicking rocks sometimes before you see them and then glass, glass, and glass some more. Patience pays off when Barb hunting.
