This case demonstrates what the real problem is with the ESA. Because of the EAJA, these eco-elite groups receive costs and attorneys fees from the federal government when they successfully argue a case under the ESA. This particular case, that was heard by Montana Federal District Judge Dana Christensen, was disposed of prior to trial. By the way, this judge was an
Obama appointee, courtesy of Max Baucus. He is a darling of the eco-elite groups who forum shop for him when they want a favorable decision.

These lawsuits are a cash cow for these groups and greedy environmental attorneys. These groups and their attorneys don’t care about the animals or the people whose lives are ended or destroyed by these animals. Look at the dollars involved. Until the EAJA is amended to delete any awards under the ESA, this will insure lawsuit after lawsuit under the ESA. Kill the funding and you will kill the beast. Just sayin...my

I thought even if they lost the case there was still money that they could make???

The eco elites don’t give two s:/)( about the griz or the wolves they are just a means of money.. Now the grass roots people the ones on the ground that’s a different story…

? Yeah they just like to throw money around. Ok. Some people do work on the ground and some fund it. Both are important and are contributors to the cause.
