Badgers hunting prairie dogs

was getting into an area we like to pot some prairie dogs and noticed a badger working over a prairie dog hole. Got within about 15 yards and he never got nervous and let me shoot photos for over an hour. Down he would go and then in a few minutes come up for a breather. After a while a second badger surfaced with him/her. Some time later a third one surfaced and this made for some good photos.

Towards the end one badger came up with a large prairie dog and waddled off and out of sight. Guess was he was taking it to a den. About 10 minutes later he returned and they milled around the prairie dog mound for a few minutes and then ambled off in the direction of the presumed den.

Hope the photo comes through alright.

Very cool photo! Not something you see every day.
