With hunting season around the corner are you looking to up grade your gear? Here is a great chance to trade/sell all your old gear and hang out with other outdoor enthusiast.

A Free outdoor gear swap will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 from 8AM to 4PM in the parking lot of Badlands 8100 S 1300 W Suite.

Think swap meet/yard sale for hunters, everything at this gear swap needs to be directly related to the outdoor activities, hunting, fishing, backpacking, camping, hiking, archery. There is no cost to display or attend this event.For those wanting to display please arrive early (7am) to set up a space in the parking lot. Bring your own table, tent, and blanket or just drop your tail gate. The event will be held rain or shine outside. And even if you don't want to part with your gear come on down, there will be great deals and free drawings through out the day.

Fishing : rods, reels, flies, waders, tackle, kayaks, dry bags
What NOT to bring: firearms, ammunition, kitchen appliances, tools, home electronics.

Great Idea!!!..problem is my used gear is so frigging thrashed..nobody would want it...How about Tag swaps?? Is that Legal??

It has been asked off line, What if I don't have anything to trade, my stuff is old etc.

Think of this a a huge garage sale. People that have something in the garage that you aren't using anymore and want to get rid of it. Figure the lowest price you would take and bring it along. Nothing is too old, too worn out, etc.

Black Diamond has a gear swap with bike, climbing and skiing as the focus. There are two events, one in fall prior to skiing and the other in spring prior to climbing season.

It is a huge success.

Everyone pulls their cars into the parking lot and pulls up the truck or drops the tailgate. Some people think ahead and price out each item with tape and marker. Some people throw down a blank with all their stuff and wait for customer to come and make an offer or ask what you'd pay for it. It all goes. There is no bad item or product to bring.
