Banzai scouting trip to the Weminuche

I managed to get an extra week in between new jobs and I am thinking of doing a banzai scouting trip to the area I plan on hunting in September. Never been in the high country in late July. I plan on spending four nights in the weminuche and was thinking about taking my black lab along for company. So my question is what should I expect? Bugs, snow pack temps...etc.???
Any help or suggestions would be great.

Fair amount of snow, but passable. Bugs shouldn't be too bad down that way. The day time temps should be well into the 70's above 10,000 ft, dipping into the low 40's at night. Go, have fun, keep the dog on a leash if it likes to chase critters.

Thanks HiMtnHnter. I'm leaving early tomorrow morning. I got a nice light weight leash. It's not so much the critters, he's never seen a drop off that high before. I'll post some pic's when I return.
