Barbary sheep near Alamagordo?

Hello MM community. I will be in the Alamagordo area in early April and wanted to try to locate some barbary sheep. I have never seen one in person but the area along the highway south of town looks similar to pictures I've seen of sheep habitat. Any experience or suggestions where to find some around there and see if they will pose for a picture ?

Your chances of finding an oryx there is much more than trying to find a sheep there. There are no barbary in that area, good luck though!

I have heard from a guy who skydives out of Alamogordo that they routinely see sheep on the dome just southeast of town as the plane ascends. I have also heard of several killed hiking off of high rolls road.
