I found a couple of boxes of these at a yard sale, and was considering working up a load for my upcoming deer hunt. I was wanting to know if anyone had any experiences with them?

I love this bullet and would love that setup. I don't shoot it in a 270 wsm, but I shoot a 210gr in 338 lapua and 100gr in 257 weatherby. The 110gr out of a 270 wsm should produce similar results and you should be able to get 3300 fps pretty easy. Would be a great deer rifle. I like the copper solids at high speeds, they don't blow up like some of the cup and cores or bondeds.

You can push them to around 3500 , they smoke out of the wsm but they have a low BC and energy falls off fast. G1 of .377. Federal had a factory load with this bullet for a while but has been discontinued of course. At that speed it’s a laser to around 400 regardless of the BC. I tried a box A around 2010/2011 I think and they were accurate in my model 70 extreme weather but I settled on the 140 accubond.

All of these are accurate statements. If you want shoot beyond 500/600 yards, there are better options; if you want to shoot flat and fast then this setup is hard to beat IMO.

This is from Barnes’s Load data on their website (first picture), second is from their Reloading Manual #4. Don’t know why the difference in max load. But, I am running 66 gr of IMR-4350 with no pressure signs. Going to let my son use it on his antelope hunt this year and my daughter on her mule deer hunt.

I’ve used them in my 270 WSM on a few Wyoming whitetails and a nebraska muley, zero to 400 their lights out ! Right close to 3,500 fps burning H-4350.

My wife shoots these in her 270. Only loaded to about 3250, but moa and pleasant to shoot. She has shot several whitetail and 1 Utah pronghorn at about 400 yds. And several feral hogs. No bullets recovered all complete pass through

I've only used the 130 TTSX in my 270WSM
I have tried lots of different bullets but the 130 worked best in my rifle. The 110's should scream if they will group!

So far I have tried 3 charges of 4350 decent accuracy going to try magpro next getting a little over 3500fps but best accuracy was 3300 still fast hopefully magpro or 7828 will be more accurate I have retumbo also.

I used the sierra game king 110 for years out of a 270win, I changed to the barnes 110. There was never a difference between lead and copper that I saw or noticed they always killed ever thing. Once I starting to reach out past 300yrds the performance was not there at 3300 with imr. I changed to the barnes lrx 129 and down to about 3150 fps, it will be all me that shoots badly at 700 yard before that bullet doesn't fly straight.
