Had a fun few days hunting deer with my 14 yr old. He missed a really nice buck in the morning, (a result of being cocky with me about his ability). I spotted a really big buck across the valley later on. We were watching it when this one strolled by. One shot and we are headed home.

I only had two days with Cade. I brought him home Tues morning. I dropped my cousin off at DIA on the way home, quick caught up on some work. My wife had a tag in another unit. We have two little girls that she was very reluctant to leave. My hunting buddy and his wife had agreed to take care of them but she was still real anxious about it. We got to Gunnison around 1 Wednesday morning and got up early. We saw this buck right away. Heidi said let's shoot it. That was probably one of the fastest hunts I've been on. Funny thing is while I was quartering it a real manly buck eased around the corner and watched us for a bit.
