bear question

I am wanting to have a grizzly bear mounted full body. My question is: If he is 6 1/2 feet from nose to tail, roughly how tall would he be if I mounted him standing on his hind legs? I am thinking add 2 feet for the height of the legs but take off a foot for the head being tilted down, putting him at about 7 1/2 feet tall. Am I way off?

No sheep for me this time. We had a Grizzly run us out of our camp and I let him know how I thought about that. Put him down with one shot from my .280.

Cool Marley! I meant no disrespect on your Bear but was anxiously waiting to hear of the results on your sheep hunt.

Glad to hear the .280 worked for you! You know i'm a fan of the "smaller" yet big enough cartridges. Didn't you recently buy a Ultra Mag?

Yeah my .300 RUM is a custom job though and I am still waiting on the action from Jim Borden. Should be here next week. The .280 did the job but it had me worried. I think I would've had a little more confidence in the .300.
