several years ago I read an article about a guy who buried a buck skull in the ground for a few months. and when he uncovered it the bugs had cleaned it up realy well. Has anyone ever tried this. I'm in the process of trying this with my 2010 bear skull. I took it out of the freezer and buried it 3 weeks ago next to a anthill. Think this will work?

Some of the hide and stuff will probably be off of it, but it won't be clean enough to just throw up on the mantle. The ant/bug method has never really done much imho.
