Best CO high country unit

Looking to do some deer hunting in CO in the future. I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction as far as which units to apply for. Looking to hunt during archery season in the high country. Looking for an area with good public access,good high country terrain and of course nice bucks. Any help would be appreciated. Hard to say which unit is the best because there are numerous units that fit your criteria. Many units on the west slope can produce great bucks and many have high country areas. Look at CDOW website and check out other resources like Google Earth to narrow down some units. Once you narrow down a unit or two or three come back to MM and ask specific questions. I think people on here are much more inclined to help if you have done some leg work on your own. Good luck.
