Go with Manfrotto like so many other folks that rely upon their equipment for their livelihood. The one biggest thing I've learned over the years is that up until recently the best equipment you could buy for hunting was not hunting gear (other then your gun, ammo, bow). For clothes, boots, packs, tripods, tents, sleeping bags I typically only use high end mountaineering equipment. Fortunately there are a few companies out there that are finally making high end equipment for hunters.

I can't say that I've tried a lot of different tripods, but I'll second the Manfrotto.

I have the 190cxpro3. It is well built and very sturdy.

Another one I was thinking of getting at the time was a Promaster T525P as cameraland had a sale on it, but then I found my used Manfrotto.
