Just wanted to let all of you know to take extra precaution on your hunting trips this year.

I just went to colorado for our yearly out of state trip and stopped in vegas on the way home to southern Calif.

Checked into Silverton Casino and parked in the Bass Pro Shops parking lot c. Checked in approx 10:30AM on Tuesday 11/6/07. Went and got some grub. Went gift shopping for the wife and kids at Bass Pro and dropped off the gifts at the truck around 1:30PM on Tuesday. After checking out of the hotel yesterday (Wednesday) morning, we walk out to the parking lot and Truck and trailer was gone.

Our truck had our jumping jack trailer locked to it. Our two quads were locked on top of the trailer. Neeless to say all of our toys were inside the truck. Spotting scopes, binoculars, rangefinders, bows, two rifles, two glocks, packs, hunting clothes, three coolers and the list goes on........

To top it all off, my 22" 4x4 buck was in the back of the truck and my extra beer!!!!!!!

Lock everything up!! Including trailer tires or use "the club."

Hope everyone had a good trip this year.

Crap! Heck Jimmy I guess in todays world we pull out the engine and put it in the hotel room or pack the truck with TNT and have a remote detonator. Sorry about your loss.

Wow. That's bad. Seems nearly every place has security cameras. What did management have to say ??

sorry to hear about this.

Management said they will check video. Not really their jurisdiction. They just patrol the parking lot for the LV Metro PD. Check back with them in about five days for any updates. The security agent was helpful and I'm sure he did all he could.

I will keep you posted and post updates as they come about.

Was there any cell phone in the truck or any other item that could be tracked? Or have you exhasted this route already.
I kinda know what you feel like right now because 2 years ago on the night of Dec. 4th we had a breakin at our new vacation home. We were here sound asleep and a cat burglur( meth addict) took everything of value. Found everything gone the next morning. Sound asleep and exhausted from flying in that day.
Our alarm system was scheduled to be installed the first wek of January, with a one month backlog I should have known something was up.

Update.

I just got the call from the Vegas PD that the truck was recovered on 11/10/07.

It does not sound as if they recovered the trailer/quads. Vegas PD could not release an inventory list over the phone. I have to either go in person or mail in a request for the copy of the report.

I am making arrangements as to get the truck back ASAP.

I will keep everyone posted.

2nd Update.

Our truck was recovered minus the trailer, quads, two rifles, one bow, two handguns, and one ipod.

Everything else was returned (including all glass.)

My deer horns/skull was also returned.

I figure right now I am ahead of the game.

Still working on the missing items. I will list an update if they show up.

3rd update.

As it turns out, our two rifles and one bow were recovered when they found the truck.

North Las Vegas Police department unfortunately, neglected to mention this to me. I found out only because I requested a copy of the report that inventoried the items when the truck was recovered.

Remainder still missing: one ipod, two glocks, one trailer, two quads.

I will repost if anything else shows up.
