Can Blackhorn 209 powder be used in a ?plunge style? open breech inline?
My current set up: 50 caliber Knight Bighorn (2002), 90 gr triple7, 290gr hollow-point power belts, Winchester 209 shotshell primers with NO plastic jacket.
I've searched online and find the generic answer of ?no? in ?plunger style? inlines because of possible blowback. I also find people saying that they have no problem using it in those types of guns and that 777 gives just as much blowback.
I have a good muzz elk tag this year and the benefits of BH209 are very intriguing. If I am going to switch loads, now is a good time.
What do my MM friends think about BH209 in a Bighorn?
