Congratulations to my buddy Erin Bitner for taking a big Arizona Whitetail yesterday. Lots of hard work paid off with an unofficial green score of 119 or so. Beautiful buck. Nice job Erin.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-30-08 AT 11:56PM (MST)[p]119? Thats a beast!! Congrats to the hunter. I'd really like to see some pictures of it if you have them.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-05-09 AT 03:30PM (MST)[p]I don't beleive there is anything wrong with sharing a link to where folks can find more pictures and details about the hunt. I'm glad the link to the story of the hunt was posted, it gives credit to the rest of the of the folks involved and showcases how big of an accomplishment Erin's buck really is! Huge congrats to Erin and all involved with the harvest of this buck, that is truly a dream buck!

If someone took offense to me posting that link, then sorry.
I was asked to post it for someone so I did. Didn't think it was a big deal. It's not like the two sites are competitors or something.

I'm just saying that I don't think it is cool to drive traffic from this hunting forum to another competing hunting forum. And they are competitors. They compete for traffic, advertising dollars and sponsors. I am pretty sure that CW wouldn't you do that.

Secondarily, you high jacked my thread because it pretty much stopped with your post.

Anyway, not a big deal in the overall scheme of things.

Just out of curiosity, who asked you to post the link?

Wade,

For the record. I asked Brian to post the Link, because I was not a member here and my email was jacked up from all the pics that Erin had sent me, since all the pics of his Faboulous Buck were taken on one camera. Also, I am not sure why this is such an issue.... many guys post MM.com links on CW.com. These sites allow all types of posts, but in reality they are catering too, two very different hunters. I, as a "Coues Nut", have never had a reason to come over here before now and check out this site... Thanks, for that..... Pretty nice Forum. If it were not for the phone calls or pm's about this thread I might have never made it over. The guys that posted here before me and those that pm'ed or called me, simply put, thought that readers should know this story from the "horse's mouth" (or Arse if you prefir, HaHa!) Your Thread was not "Hyjacked"... This Huge Typical (Public Land) Deer and The Great guy that harvested it deserved for all the wanted know more to get the full read and the additional pics. I do realize that you and your brother are very close friends of Erin's as well and I am sorry that I neglected to mention that you two spent one day durring the hunt afield with Erin. I also ommitted that I only hunted with Erin for 3 days and that Cody Goff, by Far, out performed ALL of Erin's friends by hunting with him for like 5-6 days.... the reason for ommitting these items was obvious to me. The Story was about ERIN BITTNER & HIS BUCK and how that buck was taken. I was the only other guy in that canyon when the buck hit the dirt, so who better to write the whole story than me.... and I did it for Erin, with his approval. I did it with the intent of Celebrating a Friend's Huge Success.... not to put Erin in the middle of a Who is Who pissing contest. I find it interesting that we cannot be unconditionally happy for a very deserving hunter and a buck of a lifetime. This is one of several Giants that I am so fortunate to have helped to harvest in my lifetime, but for most hunters it is a Once in a Lifetime on public land. Please understand that all the Wicked Good hunters that helped Erin put this buck down did not and have no desire to gain finacially from this hunt or my story of the hunt. All the time was given to Erin by my friends, by guys, that didn't even know him before this hunt and all the credit goes to them. This buck will forever hang on Bittner's wall because of them... The "A Team"!!!! In closing this long-winded response, I thank you for your support of Erin and his Buck. And for hosting this thread so that any of the Muley guys that don't cross the fence for a coues were able to know about this buck.

Happy New Year,

Gino Wullkotte

This started as a simple congratulations to a hunter and has turned into something silly.

It is not enough to be able to hunt. It is not enough to be successful in the field. It is all about the inches, record books and pictures and now credit for who helped and for how long. We have come a long way from the day my Dad first took me deer hunting some 35 years ago and I wouldn't call it progress. In fact it reminds more of corporate office politcs everyday.

Gino, your facts about how much time we spent in the field are as flawed as your knowledge of the MM forum rules. It was several weeks if not more not one day or five days and MM forum rules specificly prohibit linking to other hunting related sites, which was my ##### about Brians post in the first place.

My original post on this thread and my article were intended to congratulate Erin not give the apparently much coveted and needed credit and notoriety to those that assisted him. I understand that this is a business for you guys and you are welcome to all the second hand glory you can soak up but please don't misrepresent what others did because you obviously don't have all the information to reach those conclusions.

Once again the fame game rears it's ugly head. Erin called it a "communnity deer" but I would say it was a "network deer." If credit is so important let's make sure some goes to the hunter that passed on that buck the day before and his guide for the heads up phone call to you that night

And just out of curiosity, please tell me how the Coues hunters on this site differ from the Coues hunters on CW?

I have no intention of trying get you to see how petty you are truely acting. You have made agressive pm's as well as heated phone calls because you are sooo outraged that people are reading the story about this deer on another forum and that you and HardCore Outdoors is not getting any of the traffic generated by this buck.... Blah Blah, Blah.... The Story is about Erin and his Buck. Please stop you rhetoric and the smoke and mirror game... We are sorry for any personal agrivation we have caused you and if you leave us alone we will do like wise, if that is what you wish.

The words Community and Network both suggest team work.... that is truely what got this buck on the ground. Nothing less. This buck would not NET 120 and so yes is was "passed up" by one of the AZ Auction tag holders who is being guided by a friend of mine. They looked over the buck at a distance of about a mile and my buddy Brian was within 3-4 inches on what he thought the buck would score and was correct to pass the buck with his client. We had plans to hunt in there the next morning anyhow and it was awesome to hunt in there knowing the buck we were after was in the open! As it turns out this is also very possibly the very same buck that my son had a good look at in that canyon while archery hunting a year ago. Team work is a very gratifying thing.

There are coues deer and muley hunters on both sites but I assure you that your hunters that hate "rat" deer never visit the "other" site and the hunters that hate "carp" deer never come here.... HAHAHA!! Truth is a giant Muley and a Giant Coues are the hardest to obtain trophies in the Lower 48... nothing is more cunning or crafty as these two deer. But no two group of hunters are more divided or proud of thier quarry!

As to you bruises... Fuggetabout it!! This too shall pass... Lets just all get along and Celebrate BIG DEAD DEER!!!! HAHA!!!!

There you go again. Making stuff up. Actually, I thought my phone call to Jim went pretty well considering I opened with "did you mean to be a dxxx or did I misunderstand what you wrote." He said that he didn't mean for that post to come off that way, I took him at his word and he edited the post.

Aggressive PMs? In looking at all the PMs I can't see anything that a reasonable MAN with an actual set would take as aggressive unless you mean my correcting your misstatements. If that is aggressive, then I guess I am guilty as charged.

But now I am puzzled. I thought we agreed to be done with this and be nice but then you slam me again in your last post. So, tell me, which Gino would you like me to take seriously? The complimentary, contrite Gino from your PMs that wants to take long showers together and use me as a "resource" or the public posting posturing Gino from above that keeps picking at this.

See I don't think you are a hunter at all. You talk a good game but I have spent some time in San Francisco and can see through the ruse. I think you are really a closet liberal, PETA plant, woman?s underwear wearing, Prius driving U of A homo that voted for Obama and Janet because you thought they were both cute. I am done with you and done with this thread.

Welcome to MM newbie and thanks for nothing. I hope your tripod blows over in a big wind with your 15s still attached while you are sqatting in the brush. Get some help.

I am out. Really. I mean it this time.

And you can find your own damn boots.

I win!

Dang, I was just gettin' my popcorn and was gonna sit back and watch a snot slinging cyber war....LOL...this was starting to get good.

Wow Wade.... You are just like a Woman.... always have to get the last word in and run!!!!

I did think your last PM was pretty fuzzy and since it was after my last post I just assumed that you were tired of getting slapped around and wanted to play nice.... sorry for the assumption. Further more anyone who knows me knows that the last thing on earth that I am, is "complementary"! HaHaHaHa! Sarcastic... might explain me better. You have managed to make a mockery of a great buck and what should have been a celebration. It was not meant to be a webpage magnet.... to draw people to HardCore Outdoors.... If you were truely happy for Erin you would have done a few things different IMO... instead you chose to play "the angle". What a Pal! If you are truely done here than so am I... People that want to see this buck and understand what Erin accomplished will read what I wrote on the thread I posted for him. After all it is all about Erin... not me, or Wade at HardPorn Outdoors or anybody else for that matter. But hey you did loan him the ATV trailer that was parked in my driveway all day! HaHaHa!! And you insist that you did scout your tail off for weeks & months and never saw a shooter... maybe you need to stick to the key board.... cuz you obviously can't find Coues deer. I mean come on... "We",a bunch of scum of the Earth, the scurge of hunting(as illustrated in the PM), "Guides" managed to find a Whopper in um.... 3 days! Wow, guess it ain't rocket science if dumb guys like us can get it done.

And ....Oh... Snap! "And you can find your own damn boots." Been getting them my whole life... I'll make it. HaHaHa!!

Later Chump! ...or was that Chimp....not really sure.

Aim Small... Miss Small!!

Let's Get Bloody!!!

FUGGETABOUT IT!!!!!

Gino

Now see that's not nice. I tried to end this on a humrous note with an obviously, over the top, ridiculous post that included every anti-stereotypical off-the-wall funny comment I could think of and you get all huffy. Who is Butt hurt now? I am sorry you didn't see it for what it was.

Let me just make sure I understand this though. I post a very short message congratualating Erin. Then you ask a buddy to post a link on my thread (which he has since asked the moderators to remove) to a story that you wrote on Coueswhitetail (which violates the rules of this forum). Then another one of your friends posts a subsequent message knocking our involvment in the effort (which he has since revised) and you say I am the bad guy here, that I am trying to generate traffic to my site? As far as I can tell the only one asking anyone to go to another site is you.

Exactly what angle is it that I am playing and how do I gain from that? The only one that stands to profit from exposure from to this is you Gino. You Guide for fee. There is no gain in this for me at all.

Now, seriously and sincerely. Thank you for helping Erin find and shoot that deer. I know it meant a lot to him and I know you kept him on the mountain and in the hunt. It is a great buck and you all are to be congratulated for the accomplishment. Odds are that most of us that hunt Coues deer will never be so fortunate to take such a prize. It is a commendable acheivement. Good on you.

I have no dog in this fight, but why dont you both grow up?! Who cares?! The guy shot a big ass deer. Congrats!

Gino, obviously this Wade guy has to have the last word.. Let him have it!

And Wade, you crossed the line making fun of U of A!!! Make fun of ASU, would ya!
