Congratulations to your dad, that is a nice bull. Not sure what he would score, but nice anyhow. I was out this weekend too(sw mt), but fought the wind the entire time and did not end up seeing any.
Im pretty sure I have the last two years sheds from this bull. I had the set from two years ago officially scored at 286 2/8. So with a conservative inside spread of 40 inches he would have scored 326 2/8. Last years set was smaller and probally would have scored around 300ish with a spread credit. This year, in comparison to his set from 2 years ago, he has added at least 6 inches to his 5ths and probally 4 to his 4ths. He also looks to have a bit more mass and probally wider than 40 inches, id say more like 45. So if he is 25-30 inches bigger this year that should put him at 350's gross and probally 340's net. I havent seen the bull in person yet though so im just going off of the photos and what the sheds I found from this bull scored.
Last years sheds......
ismith,
Tell your dad congrats, I'll say 340's, thats a great bull. I just got home from MT, didn't see any like him. Just wondering what elevation? All the elk we saw in our area were down low around 6000'or less, no snow.
if you are correct and those sheds are off the bull your dad shot, they will make a nice addiiton to his trophy wall near the shoulder mount of his bull.
