Slider, your right there are plenty of big Sturgeon in the Upper Columbia. I Guide there in the Summer and Fall. It's also one of the best spots in the lower 48 to catch Alaska size Salmon in the Fall.
Todd, you could probly get a tag from a landowner, however it's like anywhere else, a tight knit group. The second problem is that this hunt isn't your typical Elk hunt. These are mostly traveling Elk that know exactly where the Hanford boundry is. Typically it's not a matter hunting them, but more a matter of hoping your there on a day the elk wonder off the Reservation. These elk will bounce from landowner to landowner as there hunted, with there ultimate goal getting back to the Res. without being killed. Martinez generally only lets 15 paying hunters on per year(of which, most are family and close friends), Merkel will not even let his own taxidermist hunt, and Linda will let you hunt for a price, however it is from her H2 Hummer, and she tells you which elk your allowed to shot.
Born again Bow Hunter this Sept. Any help on Montana 380 tag would sure help.
