I am curious how many people have really compared the high end bino's to the mid range and low range at dusk and dawn.
I have looked through Leica Duovid's at dusk and they were clear, but they were too heavy for me. I was using a pair from a Leica salesman and they were bright, but alot of neck strain.
I have a pair of Swarovski 8.5 x 42 EL's and Pentax 8 x 42 DCF WP's. We were looking at some martin's the other night and the Swaro's let me see detail up to feathers being messed up or not straight on some of the birds at about 100 yards. The Pentax, I could see the birds clearly, but not close to the detail of the Swaro's.
I am a firm believer in buying the best optics you can afford and then spend a little more. I have come to trust my optics on hunts and I look for hours at times. The Swaro's have never left me with the eyestrain or tiredness I have felt with the Pentax. Just my thoughts.
