i have been trying blackhorn powder in my omega for a while.
i finnaly ended up with 100 grns of powder with a 250 grn barnes tmz to get a little over one inch at one houndred yards
if i use 110 grains of powder and a 300 grn barnes tmz i get the same point of aim. it does open up to just under an inch and a half but dead center. i shot this five times to see if it was a flook. same thing. is this common

Not at all. In fact, I have sometimes had bigger bullets hit higher at 100 yards than smaller ones. Depends on the harmonics of that particular load and how it exits the barrel. But no two guns are alike. It would probably be different in my Omega. But in general, with increasing the powder and bullet I would expect to get about the same elevation. You are lucky in that when you change from one to the other, you don't have to change the sights!
