Gonna make this short and sweet!! This was my first time ever hunting Barbary Sheep. I did some serious homework, studying maps and property boundaries, etc. to find out where to start. Went out for 5 days opening weekend. Got skunked the first day. Had a 30" ram walk up to me within 40yds the 2nd morning while my rifle was sitting comfortably on my 4wheeler 50yds behind me....that really sucked. Jumped 3 ewes the 3rd morning and couldn't get a shot off, while my buddy missed a big ram at 350yds. Got skunked day 4 and drove home day 5. Just returned from round 2. Left Friday and hunted Friday evening, Saturday, Sunday and a couple hours this morning. Friday was a bust, made a 2 hour stalk on 7 sheep Saturday only to find they disappeared when I got there. Missed a BIG bedded down ram on Sunday at 150yds due to some serious buck fever and jumped a couple smaller juvenile sheep. Jumped another 7 this morning but couldn't get a shot off. I have seen 17 sheep in the past 2 days, and between me and my 2 buddies, we should have killed at least 3!!! It has been an EPIC experience and really hope I get drawn next year!!!! Thanks for all the help gents!!!!
