The BLM Kemmerer Field Office is seeking volunteers to help finish removing 9 miles of non-wildlife friendly fence along the Sulphur Haul Road ~16 miles southwest of Kemmerer, WY
The date is Friday, August 9, 2013. They are doing this as an early celebration of National Public Lands Day. If you are from around Kemmerer or East of there, the will be meeting at 9:00 am at the Kemmerer BLM Field Office, 312 Highway 189 N., Kemmerer, WY.
If you are from the Evanston area or will be coming from the west, take the Kemmerer exit off of I-80 and travel ~13.5 miles on highway 189, turn left (or head west) on the D Ranch Road. Travel until you hit the haul road and that is where all of the fun is scheduled to begin.
Volunteers are asked to wear proper work attire such as gloves, hat, long pants, sturdy shoes, safety glasses, etc. Those that have fencing pliers are asked to bring them and bug spray is also highly recommended. Lunch will be provided.
Those desiring more information are asked to call Wally Mierzejewski at 307-828-4508.
Look forward to seeing you all there!
