LAST EDITED ON Jan-26-14 AT 11:38PM (MST)[p]I have taken bobcat now and then, mostly as depredation. Lately I have been thinking of killing a few more and selling the hides, but I don't know anything about the process. Where and when may they be sold (nearest to Reno)? Would those shot with a .22 rimfire magnum or long rifle suffer much markdown at market relative to those trapped, assuming no large exit wound? And how do the fur buyers prefer them to be prepared? Is it necessary to leave claws on? Eyelids? Lips? Am I correct in assuming that these are to be dried fur-side out? If so, then how does the buyer determine whether or not the cat is fleshed properly? I would appreciate any advice you all might provide. Thanks in advance.
