My father (72 years old) has drawn a ML Elk tag on the Roadside of the Book Cliffs and I am concerned with his ability to chase elk and would like to get some opinions about if he should turn in his tag rather than attempt the hunt. He has had both hips replaced and has limited mobility. I am not expecting him to go after the biggest bull in the unit but I would like to get him in front of any 6 point bull since realistically this will be his last hunt. Has anyone else had experience on this hunt with limited mobility? Also, are the elk still receptive to calls in late September early October?
Thanks again in advance!
