Made it back home from my re-con drive over from Cali to the Book Cliffs to see what was in store for me on my upcoming muzzy hunt. All of the info you guys gave me was spot on. The only word to describe my trip was WOW!!! I've been deer hunting a long time and I have never seen so many bucks..amazing. It was smoking hot up there but the bucks were out early and started bedding down around 8:30. With some steady glassing during the midday heat we were still able to spot numerous bachelor groups under the cedars. Stopped counting the bucks at 70 on the first day and I'm sure we saw over 100 of every shape and size. Lots of good 3x3 & 4x4 well over 20" or better and saw 1 4x4 gagger over 30". He was the about the only buck that didn't stick around for us to stare at. Most of the action was around the asphalt plant, Monument Ridge, & down over around Hay Canyon side but we saw numerous deer just about everywhere up on top of the Divide Road. Trip helped to make some decisions...not pulling the quads over there, & will be bringing the camping gear, not making that long drive to Vernal every day. C'Mon Sept 27th.
Thanks again you guys for the help.
