I talk with a lot of hunters from all over the country every year about hunting elk, deer and antelope in Arizona's Unit 10. Many want to hunt on the Boquillas Ranch and it's great country for sure. The Boquillas Ranch takes in the west half of Unit 10. A lot of other folks come here to hunt for elk sheds each year. The Arizona Game and Fish Department and the Mohave Sportsman's Club sponsor a clean-up project on the Boquillas Ranch each year to comply with an agreement with the Navajo Nation to keep the ranch open to public access. We need all the help we can get this year. This year the clean-up project is scheduled for June 26. The group will meet at Pica Camp off Highway 66 at milepost 123 at 8:00am. Each participant will need to sign in and get an access pass for display in the windshield of their vehicle. Routes and areas to work will be suggested by the local Wildlife Manager. Litter picked up will be collected at Pica Camp between 5 and 6:00 pm. Come and help keep this great hunting area open to public access. (Don't bring ATV's, they have been prohibited by the ranch for a while.)
