I have an update! I couldnt believe I missed that shot so at first light i set up a target thinking my scope had been knocked and was off. The shot hit dead center which didnt make me feel any better. I decided to go back to the spot where I took the shot to double check for blood....no blood. I figured I would go sit on a wallow that I had seen him come into after shooting light on the first day of the hunt and wait until the evening to see if I heard any bugles. I had got myself settled behind some cover and was going over the events of the previous evening, still pretty bummed when I heard a noise. I looked up and he was right there 66 yds away. One shot and it was over he dropped right where he stood. He is a stud 6x5 with 56 mains, lots of mass and 18 inch fronts which is really why I liked him. I'll post pictures as soon as I get home, the signals pretty shitty up here on the mountain.
