Anyone from here? I might be moving there in the next few months and would like to know some affordable areas to buy a home in. The job is located in Niwot. Ive been looking at homes online and looks like Id be spending around 300k for a decent home. Ive checked out some homes on line in Firestone, which appeared to be a nice place. Any other recommendations? Id be willing to travel 30 miles to work in order to find a nice place to raise the family. Id like to find a quiet community that is fairly new. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

You're on the right path. I know a guy from Niwot and it seems like that's a pretty nice, smaller community from what I hear from him. Firestone is definitely a "newer" growing town. You can also look into Longmont, they're building there like crazy too, so you can find newer subdivisions with newer homes.
