Heard this on the noon news a couple days ago. I've never heard this before but as a hunter I found it quite interesting and worth passing on.

On Monday July 3rd at 0538 Mountain Time we'll have the first super moon of the year. It will be brighter than normal due to the moons closer proximity to earth compared to normal full moons. It's called the "Buck" moon to signify the new growth of antlers on deer. With the moisture, thus feed , several well know areas received this year growth could/should be exceptional!!

This new moon is also referred by some as a Thunder Moon and Salmon Moon but by me from now on it will be referred to as the big "Buck" Moon.
