bulls starting?

LAST EDITED ON Feb-20-09 AT 01:12PM (MST)[p]went out this morning and found this bull with only one side in one of my honey holes. pretty exciting! sorry the pics are not to great, but didn't have any digicaming stuff, so just stuck camera to eyepiece.

Damn, that's pretty early... I've seen a few do it this early before, but not too often... Good luck finding that side

I have seen 2 bulls packing only one side already - and I saw them 2 weeks ago !!! One was a raggy and one was a 6 point.

It's about an 1 1/2 hour drive to where the bulls are. I haven't been back but will probably take a look in another week or so. I also saw about 15 other bulls still packing both sides.

Here's one at Hardware Ranch in Northern Utah almost two weeks ago. Seems pretty early to me.

Went to the general area today. The snow is melting fast and the Elk are retreating back up the mountain. Didn't see any Elk to see how many are still packing but I would guess most still are.

I did find a 5 point shed from last year though.
