Cache Spike Only Elk

I could use a bit of help. My son-in-law told me that he has a spike only elk tag (start October 8) and wants to go out in the Cache (Lives in Logan). This is his first year hunting as he just got his blue card and he married my daughter a few months ago and she told him getting his blue card and hunting every year was mandatory. I have spent a bit of time in the Cache this year (aarchery deer and camping) and have only seen some deer and some pretty good moose. No elk.

I am not after any ones honey hole, but some general areas to scout this weekend would be great.

Any help is appreciated.

Wish I could help, but the elk were scattered all over and were really hard to get into during the bow hunt.

I would check around bunch grass, redbanks area. always elk around there. Best of luck.
