I have a new plan! Im sure HunterHarry, and many other N. Cali boy would agree. Northern california should succeed from the state of california, and become one state with eastern oregon. All the liberal, limpwristed, tree hugger, homos from western oregon could move down into southern california with the rest of there kind. The entire southern portion would become one state. and oregon and northern cali would become one state.\

My dad grew up way up in the hills out of oroville. I sppend alot of time up there, I can sure tell you that thouse people dont deserve the disgrace of being called californians. They are incredible people. Loggers, rum runners, and good ole boys. One of the neatest places around.

After we devide the state, we will build more dams. This will give us three things. More water recreation such as fishing, add power plants to those dams and then we can sell the water and power to the South end of the state for a good price and use the money to keep our taxes down. As it is now, the South end is trying to steal our water rights and the state is running out of good sources for power, but the tree huggers will not allow dams or hydro plants and want to steal the water to keep their lawns and marijuana plants green.

Our last few Governors have really helped to make this more of a fruitcake friendly state. How do you like the crap that Mr. Locke is pulling now that he is leaving office? I think that Rossi will turn us around. The problem is that there are so many f-ing hippies that want folks like Gregoire or Ron "tax to the max, lets have the rest of the state pay for our little projects in Seattle, Simms.

Kingfish, I hadn't heard about that state income tax idea, but think about it...a state income tax might be a good thing. I'm assuming the plan would be to replace the 8% sales tax? If they did that, we would most likely be able to deduct what we pay in state income tax from our federal income tax. How can you complain about that? As it is, all the sales tax we pay, none of that is deductible.

RACK' what this thread has to do with hunting is this "Cali. sucks straight up"!...they won't let us hunt Mt. lions for one two, our deer herds are at their lowest since who knows when...but the DFG still sells as many tags as they can, the sucess rate is less then 20% state wide for bucks, and buying a fishing license is much like drilling for oil you have to buy the license first then a stamp for every frickin fishspecies... thats what this thread has to do with Cali and huntin......

Rackmaster: you have 5 kids? If you do, that is what I'm talking about when I say women having litters. That is just plain irresponsible. Anybody with that many kids has absolutely no right to complain about ANYTHING. If you think about it you'll realize that all the problems we have in this country are a result of an increasing human population. What gives you the right to have 5 kids? Most people nowadays are being responsible and limiting themselves to two kids. Do you think your genes are superior or something? And I'll tell you something else, not that it matters to me, but your kids should be paying for their own college, and not expecting you to pay. Any extra money you have should be invested for retirement. Otherwise, you'll be retired and broke, and your kids will then have to support you.

Having any childern is a major task! But the real tricky part is being a supportive,caring,loving,teacher of life,respect,dignity
so they can go though life unphased and funcion with out being jugdemental of other or to be racist,or abuser of other(there kids,wife,dog or other people). I only have one 10yrs old son and he already understands much more about life than I care for him too! But he loves life,outdoors and his family and frinds.
However he does respect others and does not know the differants
between black and white, does not care about what other think of him! And love to visit hes Aunt and Uncles in TACOMA,WA. And hope hes has 5 childern of his own because thats what great about
this country and he can live any where they choose!
Bob I also know many guys at work that have many kids and they are the happest people you would ever meet asian,black,mexican!

You know what's screwed up about California? All the people from everywhere else moving there, that's what! If Californians are such screwed up people, which ones are you talking about? The native born Californians of which comprise less than 50% of the population, or the non-native born Californians that make up the majority? Every homo, Mexican, movie star wanna be, tweaker, turd burglar from everywhere else wants to move there and then they want things to be the way they want them to be. No guns, no hunting, free medical care, welfare, free condoms, free needles etc. etc. etc. Visit Disneyland then go home!

My problem is with the Californicators ( and some from Nevada) that are moving up here and buying up huge chunks of land in prime hunting areas, putting multi million dollar houses on it and bitchin' about the hunters. Some of them come up, settle in and then try to impose their hippie, tree loving ideas on us. Some of these bastards even try to get mills, mines and logging operations shut down because they are afraid that it might effect some little bird. Meanwhile the livelyhoods of many longtime locals hang in the balance. In the county that I hunt in, the property values have gone from a few hundred dollars an acre to several thousand in just the past few years. My #1 huning buddy's old lady is a real estate agent for the area and she says that folks moving in from, mainly, CA and NV, are driving locals out. I realize that this is a free country and we are all free to roam wherever we wish, but is it nessesary to move into an area and try to change it to the way that you want it?
Another problem that I encountered, when I was a Deputy Sheriff, with folks from LA, the Bay Area etc was the amount of criminals moving up here to get away from their problems. We nailed a ton of kids that were constantly getting arrested in Ca that moved up here to "start a new life". Instead of cleaning themselves up, they usually kept on doing what they were running away from, only up here.

People really hate it when Californians drive their real estate prices out of their reach!
It is just that the out of control real estate market here is making average people rich!
If you bought a home several years ago,it's value has increased so rapidly that you can cash out here and move to an area in a rural state and live like a king!
In the last year and a half my home has increased in value by $130,000!!!! I was just lucky to buy when I did!
When I do move,I don't want anyone to know where I am from!!!!

your right our home was bought 10 yrs ago for 170k in san jose and today its 480k and that really sucks(well sort of)we want to up grade and we can't because the homes we like run 750k! we do not want to move as to where we have to drive 40 miles to work! my heart really goes out to friends who struggle with newly bought home with high house payment.

I have to admit that I use to live in CA also. I moved from Tennessee to Thousand Oaks CA. What a f-ing culture shock! It took quite a while to get over how rude and self-involved people were, even at my age of 9. The one thing (and only thing) that I loved about CA was after we moved to Clovis (a suburb of Fresno), all of the fishing. Holy balls, some of the best lake fishing that I have ever done was in Central CA!
