Can I shorten Primos trigger sticks?

Can I shorten Primos trigger sticks? I got the taller ones.
I like to use them while sitting in a ground blind but sometimes they are too wide to be at the height that I like. Is there anyway to shorten them without tearing them up. Also, the short ones seem to short so I already thought of that.
