Thought I would post this here rather then under the bear forum.
I had the awesome experience of going with a friend on a Polar Bear hunt in the Canadian Artic, got back last friday.
Here are a few pics from the trip.
Jeff with his bear, 10 1/2 foot nose to tail
killed w/ 375 H&H.
Me w/ Jeff's bear, filmed/kill shot at 140 yards, spotted from 1000yards.
Our heated homes for 11 days.
One of 8 bears that came by camp, just a 6'er
one of three wolf kills found.
a sleepy artic fox, saw 6-12 of these a day.
sled dogs w/ sun dog
Temperatures were 7F. to -27F. with 10-30 mph winds.
One of the top 5 "hunting" experiences of my life. In 10 days we saw over 50 bear, this one was the biggest, killed on the 8th day.
enjoy, and Happy Thanksgiving.
