Canadian Black bear hunt?

I am starting to research a Canadian Black Bear hunt for 2012.
At a local outdoor show this weekend, 3 different outfitters talked up Manitoba alot. Any suggestions for good and bad outfitters etc? This forum is filled with great people, hope to get some advice.

If you go to Manitoba or Saskatchewan you will be sitting on a treestand over a bait pile. Sure you get to see a few bears, but boring hunting.

I would highly suggest looking at Northern Vancouver Island for a black bear hunt. I went there two springs ago, and in 4 days we saw 74 different bears. Lots of opportunites of stalks and shots. My one friend got a 7 foot black bear, and we saw some of the biggest black bears we have ever seen.

Be prepared for rain though! It rained everyday on us!
