Saw something yesterday that I hadn't seen before,I've heard of the occashional (sp) squirrel that rob's another's nest and eat's the young, but I'd never heard of squirrel's eating another full grown squirrel. I had been shooting ground squirrel's and letting them lay where they fall when I noticed one squirrel apprently trying to drag a dead one to their hole, but, when I looked thru the bino's the little bugger was eating the shoulder off the dead one, anyone else seen this type of behaviour ?

Ya, I see it all the time! We use them as bait. I saw an albino last weekend, but let him live.

Very common. Haven't you always wondered why you see a squirrels hanging around next to a dead one on the road? He's not mourning.

I seen it a few yaers back, when we were over run with 'em, we were doing the same shooting 'em and letting 'em sit...when another would come up and run off with the bodies in there moth...strange... survival of the canibals..?..
